Yasutomo liquid vermilion ink is a rich, warm, red-orange color.
It is traditionally used in hand-lettered manuscripts, seals, and ink paintings. It is also commonly used in Asia by calligraphy instructors to correct students' work.
This water-resistant ink is opaque and dries to a permanent matte finish.
Use directly from the bottle for dip pen calligraphy and brush painting. Mix with black ink to create a rich brown or warm black calligraphy ink.
Conforms to ASTM D-4236.
* Pro Tip * When used on washi (rice paper), expect the ink to soak in and spread into the absorbent paper. If you are using the ink for Western-style lettering on sized paper, add gum arabic. This will greatly reduce bleeding and fuzzy letters.
